PNP inducts 14 new generals
Philippine National Police chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos formally inducted 14 more senior PNP officials to their new ranks in a ceremony on Wednesday.
Promoted to two-star rank of police major general were Ronaldo Olay, director for logistics; Valeriano de Leon, director for operations; and Rex Urbano, deputy inspector general of the Internal Affairs Service (IAS).
Also promoted to one-star rank of police brigadier general were Roderick Augustus Alba, chief of public information office; Andre Dizon, senior executive assistant of the PNP chief; Lyndon Mencio, executive officer of Area Police Command-Western Mindanao; Dexter Rellora, executive officer of directorate for plans; Joel Limson, deputy regional director for administration of Police Regional Office 8 (Eastern Visayas); Baltazar Rivera, deputy regional director for administration of Police Regional Office 4B (Mimaropa); Joaquin Alva, secretary of the directorial staff; Ernesto Tendero Jr., chief of staff of Philippine National Police Academy; Ferdinand Navarro, regional director of IAS Region 11 (Davao); Pablo Labra II, deputy regional director for administration of Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region; and Bowenn Joey Masauding, executive officer of directorate for comptrollership.
With the promotion of the 14, there are currently 139 generals in the PNP.
“You were promoted to a higher rank of great importance because of your dedication, consistency, persistence and commitment to public service,” Carlos told the newly promoted generals.
