MANILA, Philippines — If elected, presidential candidate and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno on Wednesday said he is looking at giving fellow aspirant and Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson the chance of being part of his administration.
“For example, Senator Ping Lacson,” Moreno told reporters in an ambush interview when asked if he saw any aspirants that could be part of his administration if he gets elected.
“Senator Ping Lacson is an asset of the country, that I guarantee,” the Aksyon Demokratiko standard-bearer added.
Moreno said Lacson has a “particular skill set” that will help the government, particularly in fighting corruption.
Asked what position he will give Lacson, Moreno said: “I will cross the bridge when I get there.”
Moreno is at third spot in the latest Pulse Asia survey for the most preferred presidential candidate at 8 percent, while Lacson has a 4 percent voter preference.
Moreno is running with Doc Willie Ong, while Lacson has Senate President Tito Sotto as his vice president.
