LUCENA CITY––A man was hacked to death early Monday over a P600 debt in Bacoor City in Cavite province.

The Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police reported that Vergel Naval and Jeffrey Flores had a heated argument in Barangay Queens East at 12:54 a.m. over P600 that the former owed the latter.

The report said Flores threatened to kill Naval, prompting the latter to go home and grab a bolo.

Upon his return, Naval repeatedly hacked Flores until the victim died.

The suspect escaped after the incident. The police are conducting manhunt operations to arrest Naval.
