The positivity rate, however, declined to 8.5 percent in Metro Manila, David said.

“The positivity rate is still decreasing, down to 8.5% in the NCR. Hopefully the number in the NCR tomorrow will be less than 500,” David noted.

According to the World Health Organization’s benchmark, the COVID-19 positivity rate should be five percent which indicates controlled transmission of the coronavirus.
