Pagasa: Cloudy Valentine’s Day with isolated rain showers expected
MANILA, Philippines — The shear line and the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will bring rain to Northern Luzon on Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.
The shear line or the convergence of the easterly winds and the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Cagayan Valley.
The Ilocos region and Cordillera Administrative Region, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the “amihan”.
The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
Pagasa raised a gale warning over the seaboards of Batanes due to the amihan.
