P11.8 million worth ‘shabu’ confiscated from Jan. to Feb. 12 in Mimaropa — PNP

CITY OF CALAPAN – Some P11.8 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) were confiscated in various police operations from January to February 12 in Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan (Mimaropa), according to a report from the regional police office.

According to the Philippine National Police Drug Related Data Integration and Generation System, out of the 426 operations, 488 suspects were arrested, yielding a total of 1,711.873 grams of shabu valued at P11,806,543.

The latest operation was Saturday afternoon (Feb. 12) where Edgardo Orlino, 32, a newly identified high priority value individual, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in San Jose town in Occidental Mindoro province. Seized from him were four sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 0.74 grams and valued at P4,000.

Brigadier General Sidney Sultan Hernia, police regional director, lauded the concerned units and officers “for sustaining their momentum in the campaign against illegal drugs.”
