MANILA, Philippines — The number of active COVID-19 cases in Muntinlupa City has dropped to below 100, its local government said on Thursday.
As of Feb. 10, the city government said it currently has 99 active infections, following 33 new recoveries and only two new infections.
Barangay Poblacion was listed with the highest number of active cases at 24, followed by Barangay Tunasan with 20, Barangay Cupang with 16, Barangay Alabang with 14, Barangay Putatan with 10, Barangay Ayala Alabang with eight, Barangay Bayanan with six, and Barangay Buli with one active case.
Meanwhile, Barangay Sucat has recorded no active cases.
This came just a day after independent pandemic monitor OCTA Research announced that Metro Manila has improved to low-risk classification for COVID-19 transmission after key coronavirus figures decreased.
Earlier, the Department of Health recorded 4,575 new infections nationwide, the third time this year and the third consecutive day the country recorded less than 5,000 new cases.
Active cases also dipped to 93,307, after 7,504 recoveries.
