Woman hit by rented van, dies

A 20-YEAR-OLD sales attendant died in the hospital a few hours after she was hit by a van as she crossed the road in ML Quezon Highway, barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City, yesterday dawn.

Myla Mundo of Ozamiz City was rushed to the Mactan Doctors’ Hospital for head and body injuries.

Police said the victim and her boyfriend Kenny Baratas were on their way home from a party when they got down from a jeepney in sitio Seabreeze, where she lives, at 1:50 a.m.

The woman crossed the street without noticing an oncoming Toyota Hi-ace Grandia van of California Rent-a-Car.
