MANILA, Philippines —  Overcast skies and rain may occur on Wednesday in the extreme Northern Luzon due to the northeast monsoon and in many parts of Visayas and Mindanao because of the easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

(Rainy weather will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon, with mostly fair weather conditions  in the rest of Northern Luzon and Central Luzon but with weak rain showers.)

(In Southern Luzon and Metro Manila, expect fair weather conditions with only isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.)

As for the majority of Visayas and Mindanao, Pagasa said these areas will have cloudy skies and rain due to the easterlies – excluding the western section of these regions where generally fair weather conditions are expected to prevail.

Meanwhile, Pagasa said key cities/areas nationwide will have the following temperature range on Wednesday:

The state weather service further said that a gale warning remains raised in the seaboards of Batanes, Ilocos Norte, and Cagayan due to the northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan.
