MANILA, Philippines — The tandem of presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio is planning to have a 12th senatorial candidate to complete their slate in the coming days.
Atty. Vic Rodriguez, Marcos Jr.’s spokesperson, said this Tuesday ahead of the Marcos-Duterte proclamation rally at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.

“We plan to complete the 12 but we are still in the process of finalizing who gets that last slot for the UniTeam,” Rodriguez told reporters.
“Lahat gustong sumama at marami na rin ang tumutugon sa panawagan ni presidential candidate Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. ng pambansang pagkakaisa at pagkakabuklod-buklod. So inaasahan natin na more than 12 siguro ang gustong sumama dito sa BBM-Sara UniTeam,” he added.
Rodriguez said the tandem is still in talks regarding their 12th senatorial candidate. A decision is expected on Wednesday or in the coming days, he added.
Currently, there are eleven senatorial candidates in the tandem’s slate:
Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri
Senator Sherwin Gatchalian
House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta
Atty. Larry Gadon
House Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda
Former senator Jinggoy Estrada
Former Public Works Secretary Mark Villar
