MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies and scattered rain showers are expected on Tuesday due to several wether systems, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
The northeast monsoon or “amihan” will bring cloudy skies and rain showers to Cagayan Valley, Aurora and Quezon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain to Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, Pagasa said.
“Samantala, sa silangang bahagi naman ng Mindanao ay asahan din ang maulap na kalangitan na may kalat kalat na pag-ulan, pagkulog at pagkidlat dulot naman po ng easterlies,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
(Cloudy skies and scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected in the eastern portion of Mindanao due to the easterlies.)
The easterlies or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the Caraga and Davao regions according to Pagasa.
The rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms either due to the easterlies or localized thunderstorms, the state weather bureau added.
