Sara Duterte to supporters: Stop posting my banners on trees
MANILA, Philippines — Vice presidential aspirant and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio on Saturday asked her supporters to stop posting her banners on trees.
“Paalala lang po sa mga kaibigan huwag po natin ikabit ang aking banners sa mga puno, please po pakitanggal at ilipat. Nasasaktan po ang mga puno at ayaw natin magalit sila sa akin,” Duterte-Carpio said in a Facebook post.
(Just a reminder to my friends, do not post my banners on trees. Please remove them and post them elsewhere. Trees are being hurt and I don’t want them to get mad at me.)
Duterte-Carpio also noted that she was the one who pushed for the ban on the posting of banners on trees when she was then the vice mayor of Davao City.
The daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte is running in the upcoming polls with former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. as her running mate.
