MANILA, Philippines — Presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. faced broadcaster Korina Sanchez-Roxas in a separate individual interview on Friday as he skipped the forum organized by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP), which was attended by the other presidential aspirants.
In an Instagram story posted on his account at around noon, Marcos is seen facing Sanchez-Roxas for a pre-recorded interview.
Sanchez-Roxas earlier said Marcos and other presidential candidates will be on #RatedKorina’s Upuan ng Katotohanan. Other presidential candidates interviewed include Senator Panfilo Lacson, Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno, Senator Manny Pacquiao, and Vice President Leni Robredo.
Atty. Vic Rodriguez, Marcos’ spokesperson, said the interview with Sanchez-Roxas “is just one of the many activities we have in the full schedule of presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos today.”
The Instagram story showing Marcos’ interview with Sanchez-Roxas was posted just as the KBP’s presidential forum ended.
Marcos declined to participate in the KBP forum, citing conflict in his schedule. Presidential aspirants Lacson, Moreno, Pacquiao, Robredo, and Leody De Guzman attended the forum.
Marcos also declined to be interviewed by GMA News broadcast journalist Jessica Soho last month. His camp said this is because Soho is biased against the Marcos family, a claim that GMA News strongly denied.
