3 docs, 3 staff of Negros Occidental health office in isolation for COVID-19
BACOLOD CITY — Three doctors and three staff members of the Negros Occidental Provincial Health Office (PHO) have isolated themselves after they yielded reactive or positive to rapid antigen tests (RAT).
The doctors reactive to the RAT were Provincial Health Officer Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, medical specialist Dr. Jessica Fama, and Dr. Rhoel Mogul of PHO.
Fama exhibited COVID-19 symptoms on Thursday, prompting the rapid antigen testing among those who had close contact with her.
Tumimbang started coughing but had no fever. He is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and got a booster shot.
Under the new Department of Health guidelines, he would have to isolate himself for five days but is extending it for two days because he was still coughing.
He, however, was still signing important PHO documents.
