MANILA, Philippines — Around 400,000 Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses arrived in the country Wednesday, the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 said.
The NTF said that the 455,130 Pfizer vaccine doses were procured by the government through a loan from the World Bank.
The anti-COVID shots were transported by Air Hong Kong flight LD456 which landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 around 9:00 p.m.
As of January 26, the country has received 216,543,270 various COVID-19 vaccine doses since deliveries started February last year.
Of the total vaccines that arrived, 127,163,606 were already administered as of February 1.
To date, 59.1 million individuals are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in the country, Department of Health data showed.
