PH receives 1.1M Pfizer vaccine doses procured through ADB loan
MANILA, Philippines — About 1.1 million more Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses arrived in the Philippines on Thursday, procured by the government through a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The National Task Force Against COVID-19 said that some 1,187,550 vaccine doses arrived via Air Hong Kong flight LD456, which touched down at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 around 8 p.m.
With this delivery, the Philippines received a total of 2,730,780 Pfizer anti-COVID shots this day, as 1,543,230 doses were already transported in the morning.
Of the around 192 million various COVID-19 vaccines that have arrived in the country since February, 104 million have already been administered.
As of December 22, some 46.3 million individuals in the country are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
