CA panel OKs ad interim appointments of 6 AFP generals, 10 other officials

MANILA, Philippines — A panel of the Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday moved to recommend the ad interim appointments of six generals and 10 officials of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

The CA Committee on National Defense recommended the nominations of Augustine Malinit and Adonis Bajao to the rank of major general.

Meanwhile, the nominations of Cerilo Balarao Jr., Edwin Amadar, Oliver Maquiling, and Alvin Flores to the rank of brigadier general were also approved by the panel.

The following ad interim appointments were likewise approved:

Agnes Lynnette Flores to the rank of Colonel, Corps of Professors

Cleofe Pulmano to the rank of Colonel, Dental Service (Reserve)

Warlito Chee Jr. to the rank of Colonel, Dental Service (Reserve)

Michelle Ibuna to the rank of Colonel, Nurse Corps (Reserve)

Julio Cimatu to the rank of Colonel, Dental Service (Reserve)

Adan Rose to the rank of Colonel, Chaplain Service (Reserve)

Rex Armena to the rank of Colonel, Chaplain Service (Reserve)

Dina Begornia to the rank of Colonel, Nurse Corps (Reserve)

Jonathan Rico to the rank of Colonel, Medical Corps (Reserve)

Marcel Figuracion to the rank of Colonel, Philippine Army

The panel’s recommendation will be transmitted to the CA plenary for either adoption or rejection.
