Active COVID-19 cases among Central Luzon cops drop to 102

OLONGAPO CITY––At least 22 more police personnel in Central Luzon were cleared of COVID-19, bringing the active infections among the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) workforce to 102, data showed on Tuesday, Feb. 1.

The new recoveries raised the total number of PRO3 personnel healed to 3,519 since the pandemic struck in 2020.

The PRO3 health service said five new COVID-19 cases were added to its tally, slightly raising its total number of confirmed infections to 3,629.

So far, the number of active cases among PRO3 personnel further dropped to 102 from 129 the previous day.

PRO3’s COVID-19 death toll still stood at eight, with no new fatalities in recent days.

Nearly all the policemen, including the non-uniformed personnel in the region, had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
