Northern Luzon expected to be cloudy, rainy, but most parts of PH will be fair

MANILA, Philippines — Some parts of Northern Luzon are expected to be cloudy and have some scattered rainfall and thunderstorms on Sunday, according to the latest weather update of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Northern Luzon is composed of the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Region, and Batanes.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, can expect fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms caused by easterlies — the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

No weather disturbances are expected to enter the country until next week, according to Pagasa weather specialist Raymond Ordinario.

Meanwhile, the seaboards of Batanes may still have rough to very rough seas with 2.8 to 4.5 meters of waves due to the surge of the northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan.
