ORMOC CITY––Police arrested on Sunday the chief “tanod” (peace and order official) of a village of Sta. Margarita town in Samar for allegedly violating the election gun ban.

Erwin Rojas, 40, did not resist arrest.

Lt. Col Ma. Bella Retuaya, the spokesperson of the Eastern Visayas police, said a concerned citizen approached Executive Master Sergeant Joel Calagos Jr. to report about a man with a gun tucked on his waist.
