MANILA, Philippines — Volunteers for Vice President Leni Robredo’s presidential bid expressed their admiration for her participation in the presidential interviews conducted by GMA Network’s broadcast journalist Jessica Soho.

“Lubos ang aming paghanga kay Vice President Leni Robredo sa kanyang paglahok sa katatapos lang na “The Jessica Soho Presidential Interviews” ng GMA 7 kung saan diretsahan at matapat niyang sinagot ang maiinit na mga tanong at isyung ipinupukol sa kanyang kandidatura,” Team Leni Robredo (TLR), the volunteer arm of the people’s campaign for Robredo’s bid for the presidency, said in a statement on Sunday.

(The campaign for VP Leni can truly be called the People’s Campaign because we, supporters, are conducting our own efforts to encourage our fellow citizens to vote for her in the upcoming polls.)

TLR also expressed complete faith in Robredo’s capabilities.

(Our faith in her is whole and the unity exemplified by kakampinks nationwide cannot go unnoticed. Like what VP Leni said, everything starts with being good example, and this is what we’re doing now.)

Kakampinks—a combination of “kakampi” or ally, and pink which is Robredo’s campaign color—is the term used to refer to Robredo’s supporters.

(The fight will begin during the formal start of the campaign period and we ensure that we will do what we can to support her so that Filipinos would achieve an honest government, and under her leadership, our lives will be better.)
