American yields P340,000 ‘shabu’ in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — At least P340,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) had been allegedly confiscated from a U.S. citizen in nearby Castillejos town during a buy-bust operation, police said on Wednesday (Jan. 19).

Col. Fitz Macariola, police provincial director, identified the suspect as John Louis May Jr., 42, who was arrested during the operation in Barangay Del Pilar on Tuesday.

May had yielded at least 50 grams of alleged shabu, Macariola said in a statement.

The suspect was detained at the Castillejos police custodial facility and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
