MANILA, Philippines — Public hospital nurses in Sorsogon will receive a compensation increase after the provincial government started its implementation of a budget circular as part of the Salary Standardization Law.
Sorsogon Gov. Francis “Chiz” Escudero said that 139 nurses in nine public hospitals will be the first beneficiaries of the pay adjustment pursuant to Republic Act No. 11466 or the Act Modifying the Salary Schedule for Civilian Government Personnel and Authorizing the Grant of Additional Benefits and for Other Purposes.
(Our nurses from public hospitals will receive an additional salary. It will be a big help, especially at this time, and they need the pay hike because they are battered by their workloads due to the pandemic.)
