LRT, MRT, PNR to also enforce ‘no vax, no ride’ policy on passengers

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Friday said the “no vaccine, no ride policy” will also be enforced in all trains and stations of the Light Rail Transit (LRT), Metro Rail Transit (MRT), and the Philippine National Railway (PNR) starting Monday, Jan. 17.

“Only fully vaccinated passengers will be allowed entry into the train stations upon presentation of any valid government-issued IDs and any of the following: physical or digital copies of LGU-issued vaccination card; DOH-issued vaccination certification; and any IATF-prescribed document,” said Transportation Undersecretary for Railways Timothy John Batan.

Starting Monday, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) will also implement the “no vaccine, no ride” policy in all public utility vehicles in Metro Manila.
