PNP adds isolation facilities, beds in Camp Crame as more personnel contract virus
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced Tuesday that it has opened additional quarantine facilities and beds in its headquarters in Quezon City as the new coronavirus hit more of its personnel.
PNP chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos said in a statement that they “added 80 beds at [the] Training Service facility while [an] additional 100 beds were placed at the Badminton Court to fully accommodate PNP personnel who tested positive of the virus.”
“We are adding more quarantine beds as a proactive measure just in case there will be more personnel who will need to undergo quarantine,” he added.
The Kiangan Emergency Treatment Facility, however, remains as the primary quarantine facility in Camp Crame for COVID-positive cases.
Meanwhile, asymptomatic personnel can go on home quarantine but need to submit their regular body conditions to the PNP monitoring medical team, said Carlos.
