BAGUIO CITY––Baguio Rep. Mark Go announced Monday that he and his wife tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement, Go advised all individuals who had direct and close contact with them for the past few days to undergo self-quarantine, monitor themselves, and get tested if they manifest symptoms.
“Contract tracing efforts are also being conducted by our city,” the lawmaker said, although it was not immediately known he contracted the viral disease.
He gave the assurance that he and his wife were both feeling well, although they were experiencing mild symptoms.
“And I’m confident through God’s grace that we will recover quickly,” he added.
Go said he and his staff would continue to do their work in Congress and their district office.
“I am quite in disbelief and I’m sure many families are experiencing the same disheartenment once the virus hits their homes, but this is the nature of COVID-19, which is why I appeal to everyone not to let your guard down,” the congressman added.
