Pharmally exec detained in Senate gets COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — An executive of Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. who is detained at the Senate has tested positive for the new coronavirus, as cases broke out among Senate personnel prompting a lockdown in the legislative chamber starting on Monday, Senate President Vicente Sotto III said on Saturday.
Sotto said he had allowed the transfer of Twinkle Dargani, president of Pharmally, who has been detained at the Senate for alleged evasive behavior during the Senate blue ribbon investigation of the alleged misuse of P67.3 billion in pandemic funds.
“I have allowed her transfer to Philippine General Hospital and Sen. (Richard) Gordon has also agreed,” he said.
