‘Massage girl:’ PNP files raps vs 2nd quarantine skipper

The Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) has filed a criminal complaint against another Filipino who skipped her mandatory five-day quarantine in a hotel upon returning to the country.

Personnel of the CIDG Regional Field Unit-National Capital Region filed a complaint against Maria Bernalyn Muñoz—infamously known as “massage girl”—with the Makati City prosecutor’s office on Friday.

Muñoz arrived in the country from the United States on Dec. 22, 2021.

Instead of taking her arranged shuttle ride to her quarantine facility in Seda Residences in Makati City, she took an airport taxi and went to her condo unit in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

Muñoz stayed in her condo unit from Dec. 22, 2021, to Jan. 4, 2022.

But the CIDG found that Muñoz did not quarantine herself.

On Dec. 29, 2021, she left her unit and availed of massage services, even posting it on social media. She also went out on several occasions, including on New Year’s Eve.

The criminal complaint against Muñoz came just days after the CIDG pressed charges against Gwyneth Anne Chua and eight others for skirting the mandated five-day quarantine. INQ
