People infected with COVID-19 can get access to the drug molnupiravir through the Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) e-Konsulta program, Vice President Leni Robredo assured the public on Friday amid fears that medicine may be in short supply as cases reach new record highs.

In a video message, Robredo said her office’s main programs—the Bayanihan e-Konsulta program (for free online consultations for outpatient needs) and the Swab Cab initiative (free mobile antigen testing in high-risk areas) are still in full swing.

She added that qualified patients who need molnupiravir can message the Bayanihan e-Konsulta page on Facebook and would be referred by the volunteer doctors to the program’s partner hospitals.

“This is free and this will be sent to your homes,” Robredo assured. —Krixia Subingsubing
