2 more infants, 18 others contract COVID-19 in Tarlac

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—A 1-month-old boy from Camiling town and a 1-year-old boy from Tarlac City are among the 20 new COVID-19 patients in Tarlac.

Data from the Tarlac COVID-19 Task Force’s Jan. 4 bulletin showed that Tarlac City, the provincial capital, registered 13 new cases. The other localities with new patients are Camiling (2), Moncada (2), Paniqui (1), Capas (1), and Victoria (1).

Tarlac also registered seven new recoveries and a single death on Tuesday. The fatality was an 83-year-old man from Concepcion town.

The data showed that the province’s active cases stood at 100, as of Jan. 4.

The capital city has the most active cases at 45, followed by Capas and Concepcion town with eight each, and Gerona and Paniqui with seven each.

On Monday, a 9-month old girl, a 1-year-old girl, and two other children were among the 26 new COVID-19 cases in Tarlac.

Since the pandemic started in 2020, Tarlac has recorded 19,106 cases, of which 18,167 have recovered, while 839 had died. INQ
