MANILA, Philippines — A woman who just came back from abroad not only violated quarantine protocols, brazenly had a massage and posted a picture online, but also claimed that she was exempted from protocol, Interior Secretary Eduardo Año disclosed on Tuesday.

Speaking over Teleradyo, Año said that just like the much-touted “Poblacion girl” who similarly flouted quarantine rules, this protocol violator also skipped her isolation hotel in Makati and went instead to her condominium in BGC, Taguig.

The woman, who authorities have yet to name, arrived in the country on December 22.

“Instead na mag-check in siya doon, nagpahatid lang siya sa hotel, pero meron na palang nag-aabang na sasakyan doon at dumirecho siya sa kanyang condo dito sa BGC,” Año said over Teleradyo.

(Instead of checking in, she asked to be brought to her isolation hotel, but apparently there was already a vehicle waiting for her to bring her to her condo in BGC.)

“All throughout, hindi na talaga siya nagpakita sa kanyang quarantine hotel,” he pointed out.

According to Año, the woman later on said she got a so-called exemption from the Bureau of Quarantine, which the bureau denied.

“Kine-claim niya na meron siyang BOQ exemption quarantine, which the BOQ denied,” he explained.

The woman in question is now under investigation.

Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat earlier said the woman even shared on social media that she even had a massage while she was supposed to be quarantining.

The quarantine violation of this traveler came on the heels of a similar incident involving another woman, dubbed “Poblacion Girl,” who breached her quarantine to be able to party in Makati City.

She later tested positive for the coronavirus, and infected not only her companions, but also the staff of the restaurant where she partied, earning the ire of the public.
