MANILA, Philippines — Expect rain and overcast skies in the entire Visayas and Mindanao as well as parts of Luzon on Saturday, the first day of 2022, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Patuloy pa rin ang makulimlim na panahon na may mahinang pagulan dito sa silangang bahagi ng Luzon included ang Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, at Bicol Region area,” said Pagasa weather specialist Raymond Ordinario
(The cloudy weather will continue together with light rains here in the eastern part of Luzon including the Cagayan Valley Aurora Quezon and Bicol Region area.)
“Samantala ang Metro Manila at the rest of Luzon ay magkakaroon naman ng maaliwalas na panahon na meron lamang tiyansa ng mahihinang pagulan,” he added.
(Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, on the other hand, will have clear weather with a chance of light rain.)
Meanwhile, cloudy skies and rain will prevail throughout the entire Visayas and Mindanao due to a shear line.
The temperature range in key cities/areas according to Pagasa for Friday:
Metro Manila: 20 to 31 degrees Celsius
Baguio City: 10 to 22 degrees Celsius
Laoag City: 18 to 32 degrees Celsius
Tuguegarao: 19 to 27 degrees Celsius
Legazpi City: 23 to 29 degrees Celsius
Puerto Princesa City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
Tagaytay: 18 to 28 degrees Celsius
Kalayaan Islands: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
Iloilo City: 25 to 29 degrees Celsius
Cebu: 24 to 27 degrees Celsius
Tacloban City: 24 to 26 degrees Celsius
Cagayan De Oro City: 25 to 28 degrees Celsius
Zamboanga City: 23 to 31 degrees Celsius
Davao City: 25 to 30 degrees Celsius
Meanwhile, due to the northeast monsoon, Ordinario said a gale warning remains hoisted in the seaboards of Northern Luzon and Southern Luzon, as well as in the eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, the Visayas, and the northern, western, and eastern seaboards of Mindanao.
