Rainy Friday for most parts of PH – Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon or the “amihan” and a shear line will continue to bring overcast skies and rain in most parts of the country on Friday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Asahan pa rin ang maulap na kalangitan at mahinang pagulan sa mga lalawigan sa silangang bahagi ng Luzon,” said Pagasa senior weather specialist Chris Perez.
(Continue to expect cloudy skies and light rain in the provinces in the eastern part of Luzon.)
“Sa Metro Manila naman at sa ilang bahagi ng western section [ng Luzon] magiging bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap ang kalangitan at may ilang pulo pulong pagulan dala pa rin ‘yan ng amihan,” he added.
(Meanwhile, expect slightly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers in Metro Manila and in some parts of the western section of Luzon.)
Meanwhile, the entire Visayas is also expected to experience rain and cloudy skies, as well as Northern Mindanao, Caraga and Davao region, due to both the “amihan” and the shear line, said Perez.
The rest of Mindanao, on the other hand, will experience slightly fairer weather, but rain with thunder and lightning should still be expected in the afternoon and evening due to localized thunderstorms.
Perez also said that the “amihan” is forecast to continue affecting most parts of Luzon and some parts of Visayas in the next two to three days.

Metro Manila: 21 to 29 degrees Celsius
Baguio City: 13 to 21 degrees Celsius
Laoag City: 17 to 30 degrees Celsius
Tuguegarao: 18 to 29 degrees Celsius
Legazpi City: 23 to 29 degrees Celsius
Puerto Princesa City: 26 to 31 degrees Celsius
Tagaytay: 20 to 30 degrees Celsius
Kalayaan Islands: 26 to 31 degrees Celsius
Iloilo City: 25 to 29 degrees Celsius
Cebu: 24 to 28 degrees Celsius
Tacloban City: 23 to 29 degrees Celsius
Cagayan De Oro City: 24 to 29 degrees Celsius
Zamboanga City: 23 to 32 degrees Celsius
Davao City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
Meanwhile, still due to the northeast monsoon, gale warnings are still raised over the eastern and western coast of the country, as well as the in-land seas between regions in the Visayas.
