318 of 1454 pass December 2021 CPA licensure exam – PRC
MANILA, Philippines — Only 21.87 percent or 318 of 1,454 aspiring accountants passed the December 2021 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam (CPALE), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Wednesday.
The examinees — all of whom are from Metro Manila — were originally part of the October CPALE, however, their board examination was postponed and rescheduled due to the extension of the General Community Quarantine Alert Level 4 in Metro Manila at that time.
In the October CPALE, only 15.3 percent, or 361 of 2,367 students passed the board exams.
Just like in October, the PRC did not list any topnotchers as well as “top-performing schools” in the December CPALE, per the decision of the PRC Board of Accountancy.
The tests were conducted from December 16 to 18 in Manila, as well as in PRC Rosales by the Board of Accountancy.
The Board of Accountancy is headed by its Chairman, Noe G. Quiñanola, Vice-Chairman, Marko Romeo L. Fuentes and its members Gloria T. Baysa, Samuel B. Padilla, Arlyn Juanita S. Villanueva, Thelma S. Ciudadano and Gervacio I. Piator.
