CITY OF CALAPAN – The woman with Alzheimer’s Disease who went missing on Christmas Day in Pola town in Oriental Mindoro province was found Tuesday afternoon, according to John Genabe, an officer at the Pola Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

Josefina Perlas, 57, disappeared on December 25 when she and her husband went up the hill at Sitio (sub-village) Sampaloc to bring their animals to shelter.

Her husband left her to fetch their animals, but when he returned, his wife was missing. The couple is from Barangay (village) Campamento.

The MDRRMO had been on search-rescue-and-retrieval operations with village officials, Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team, and villagers.

“She was brought to our municipal health center for diagnosis and treatment.  Thank you to all who helped bring her back safely to her family,” said Genabe.
