MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) will offer free rides to the public on specific hours on December 30, Rizal Day.
In an advisory, the MRT management said the free rides will be available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the said date.
“Ang libreng sakay ay bilang pakikiisa ng pamunuan ng MRT-3 sa paggunita at pag-alala ng buong bansa sa kabayanihan ni Gat Jose Rizal,” read a Facebook post from the rail management.
(The free ride is the MRT-3’s way of remembering the heroism of Jose Rizal.)

The last train will leave North Avenue Station at 9:30 p.m. and Taft Avenue Station at 10:16 p.m.
