MRT-3: Free ride from 7a.m.-9a.m., 5p.m. – 7p.m. on Dec. 30, Rizal Day

MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) will offer free rides  to the public on specific hours on December 30, Rizal Day.

In an advisory, the MRT management said the free rides will be available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the said date.

“Ang libreng sakay ay bilang pakikiisa ng pamunuan ng MRT-3 sa paggunita at pag-alala ng buong bansa sa kabayanihan ni Gat Jose Rizal,” read a Facebook post from the rail management.

(The free ride is the MRT-3’s way of remembering the heroism of Jose Rizal.)

The first train from North Avenue will leave the station at 4:40 a.m., while the first train from Taft Avenue will leave the station at 5:26 a.m.

The last train will leave  North Avenue Station at 9:30 p.m. and Taft Avenue Station at 10:16 p.m.

In line with the COVID-19 protocols set by the government, the railway management also reminded its passengers to always wear face masks and to refrain from eating, drinking, and talking while inside the train.
