MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Only this city and the towns of Guagua, Masantol, and Santa Ana have COVID-19 cases in this province, data from the provincial government showed on Tuesday, Dec. 28.
The capital City of San Fernando and 16 towns in Pampanga were already free of COVID-19.
According to the provincial epidemiology and surveillance unit, Pampanga has only five active cases as of Sunday–-two in this city and one each in the three towns. The province recorded no new cases, no recoveries, and zero deaths on the same day.
Pampanga has registered 46,589 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 44,098 had recovered while 2,486 had died.
The highly urbanized Angeles City, which is politically independent of Pampanga, had no new cases, no recoveries, and no deaths on Monday. It remained COVID-free as of the said date.
Since the pandemic started last year, the city registered 12,550 COVID-19 cases, of which 12,031 had recovered, and 519 had died.
