Cebu vs Bacolod set this weekend
THREE OF THE best squads from Cebu will be taking on the best of Bacolod this weekend as the Cebu-Bacolod Goodwill Games kicks off at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu gym in Canduman, Mandaue City.
Three Small Basketeers of the Philippines (SBP) teams from Cebu—SHS-Ateneo de Cebu, University of San Carlos-North and Cebu Eastern College— will be taking on St. John’s Institute, a powerhouse squad from Bacolod City.
Teams will play a single round-robin elimination round with the top two teams at the end of that round advancing to the championship game.
Registration fee is P200 per player.
The opening game on Saturday will pit St. John’s against the Magis Eagles at 9:15 a.m.
Following that encounter will be the game between CEC and USC-North. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
