MANILA, Philippines — There is a minimal chance that the country will be battered by another tropical cyclone before the year ends, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.

“For this week, mababa ang tsansa na magkakaroon tayo ng bagyo sa loob ng Philippine area of responsibility, so magandang balita rin ito sa ating mga kababayan,” Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said.

(This week, there is a low chance that we will have a tropical cyclone within the Philippine area of responsibility, so that is good news for our countrymen.)
