295 people nabbed, P800K ‘meth’ seized during 24-hour operation in Central Luzon

OLONGAPO CITY—At least 295 people were arrested while P800 worth of illegal drugs were seized during a 24-hour anti-criminality operation in Central Luzon, authorities said Friday, Dec. 24.

In a statement, Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay, director of Police Regional Office 3, said at least 142 of those arrested had warrants, while 89 were nabbed during separate anti-narcotics operations.

He said 60 more suspects were arrested for illegal gambling, and four others held for various offenses.

Also seized during the police operations were over 119 grams of “shabu” or crystal meth worth about P814,000.
