Pangasinan farmer slain in gun attack

DAGUPAN CITY––A farmer died while another survived when gunmen attacked them in two separate incidents in Pangasinan province early this week, authorities said on Thursday, Dec. 23.

One of the victims was identified as Ronnie Padilla, 33, of Cabilocaan village in Calasiao town.

Investigators said Padilla was driving his motorcycle along Cabilocaan-Bued road when a motorcycle-riding assailant shot him several times using a stiĺl unidentified firearm around midnight. Wednesday.

The victim was rushed to the Region I Medical Center in Dagupan where he was declared dead on arrival.

Another farmer was shot but survived the attack Tuesday, police said.

Eddie Credo, 33, of San Roque village in Bolinao town, was allegedly shot by his uncle, Rodrigo Credo, and two other suspects identified as Jay-ar Credo 30, and Arjay Credo, 25.

The victim said he was inside their house when the suspects on board a motorcycle arrived and fired at him several times, hitting him in the abdomen.

It was the victim’s brother Edison, who witnessed the shooting and identified the suspects.
