45.2 million individuals now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — Around 45.2 million individuals are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, acting presidential spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles reported on Wednesday.

Of the fully immunized people, 41,582,355 received a two-dose vaccine while 3,702,262 individuals got a single-shot Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, 56,509,739 vaccines were administered as first doses as of December 21.

The government has a 77-million target population against COVID-19.

Likewise, the government has injected 1,200,777 booster shots and third doses.

Currently, the government is conducting its second leg of the extended national vaccination days, dubbed “Bayanihan, Bakunahan,” with a goal of administering seven million COVID-19 vaccine doses.

So far, five million individuals got a COVID-19 vaccine during the Bayanihan, Bakunahan II.

The government is also targeting to fully immunize 54 million individuals across the country by year end.

The first national vaccination drive was held on November 29 to December 1, with some areas extended until December 3.
