MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck Masinloc, Zambales on Sunday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

According to Phivolcs, the earthquake happened at 2:27 p.m. and struck 4 kilometers southwest of Masinloc. It had a depth of focus of 35 kilometers.

Phivolcs said Intensity II was recorded in Quezon City and Makati City.

Instrumental Intensities were also reported in the following areas:

Intensity II – Olongapo City, Zambales;
Intensity I – Marikina City; Plaridel, Bulacan; Guagua, Pampanga; Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Gapan City, Nueva Ecija

Phivolcs said no aftershock is expected from the quake.
