Cops seize P2.7 million worth of ‘shabu’ in Makati City buy-bust

MANILA, Philippines — Police have confiscated 400 grams of suspected shabu approximately worth P2.7 million during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Makati City.
Operatives of the Makati Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit and Sub-Station 6 personnel arrested a certain Baby Madonna Vivero and Maria Sandra Esponilla during the operation launched around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police confiscated from the suspects the P1,000 buy-bust money and 499 pieces of P1,000 bills used as boodle money, according to a police report.
“The arrested suspects and recovered pieces of evidence were brought to SDEU Office for proper disposition while necessary documents are readied for the filing of appropriate charges to the court for violation of RA (Republic Act) 9165,” the police report read.
