2.7 million children aged 12-17 fully vaccinated vs COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — Some 2.7 million children aged 12 to 17 are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje said on Thursday.
To date, only Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines are given the go-signal to be administered to the pediatric population.
“‘Yung ating rest of the pediatric population, may mga 62 percent na tayong nabakunahan ng kanilang first dose tapos mga 24 percent ang may fully vaccinated,” Cabotaje said during the Laging Handa briefing.
(For the rest of the pediatric population, we have 62 percent vaccinated with their first dose and around 24 percent are fully vaccinated.)
“So, mga 2.7 million na ‘yung mga kabataan na nagkaroon ng dalawang doses ng Pfizer or Moderna para sa ating mga kabataan,” she added.
