PH gets 2.2 million doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine
MANILA, Philippines — Over two million doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine arrived in the country on Wednesday, according to the National Task Force Against COVID-19.
The 2,249,400 doses, which were procured by the private sector, were carried by Korean Air flight KE623, which landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 around 9 p.m.
One more delivery is expected to complete the around 10 million doses scheduled to be transported this day.
According to the task force, this is the highest-single day vaccine arrivals.

The government’s procurement of 1.1 million COVID-19 vaccine jabs likewise arrived in the evening.

As of Dec. 14, a total of 166,851,720 doses of various COVID-19 vaccines were transported to the Philippines since deliveries started in February.
