MANILA, Philippines — Over one million COVID-19 vaccine doses procured by the government were delivered to the country on Wednesday.
The 1,187,550 Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 via Air Hong Kong flight LD456 around 8 p.m.
The anti-COVID shots were procured through the Asian Development Bank, the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 said.
For this day, the country is expected to receive around 10 million various COVID-19 vaccines—the highest single-day vaccine arrivals.
This afternoon, some four million COVID-19 jabs, donated by the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands, reached the country.
As of December 14, a total of 166,851,720 doses of various COVID-19 vaccines were transported to the Philippines since deliveries started in February.
