No new COVID-19 cases in Baguio City, three Benguet towns
BAGUIO CITY — This city and nearby towns of Kabayan, Bokod, and Bakun in Benguet province did not record any new COVID-19 cases between December 12 and 13, local data showed.
According to the Baguio City Health and Services Office, although there were no additional COVID-19 cases in the city on Monday, it registered a new virus-related death on the same day. The city still has 20 active cases.
Local health authorities reminded the public to remain vigilant in spite of the improving COVID-19 situation.
In Benguet, officials in Kabayan said the town was back to being free of COVID-19 on Monday after its remaining cases had recovered from the disease.
Records from the Benguet Provincial Health Office also showed that the towns of Bokod and Bakun had no active cases since Sunday.
Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, the Cordillera Regional Vaccination Operations Center said the region is ready for the second round of the “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” National Vaccination Days between December 15 and 17. At least 68,247 of the region’s eligible population ages 12 and above are being targeted during the three-day drive.
