OLONGAPO CITY––Authorities confiscated on Monday, Dec. 13, P675,000 worth of “kush” (high-grade marijuana) that arrived at Clark Freeport in Pampanga province.

The contraband was consigned to an Indian national in Malate, Manila.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said anti-narcotics agents carried out a controlled delivery operation to arrest the suspect identified as Yogesh Sahijwani, 40.

The PDEA said in a statement that the contraband was concealed inside a green box and was shipped from Washington, USA. It arrived in Clark on Dec. 3.

PDEA said about 500 grams of kush packed in 15 plastic sachets were seized during the operation.

The suspect will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
