LEGAZPI CITY – A drug suspect was killed during a buy-bust operation in Talisay, Camarines Norte early morning Monday.
Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol regional police spokesperson, said Christian Serrado, 40, a resident of Barangay Larap in Jose Panganiban town, sold two large sachets or 50 grams of shabu (crystal meth) worth an estimated P340,000 to an undercover agent in Barangay Gabon at around 1:30 a.m.
Sensing that the drug transaction was a set up, Serrado drew his .45 caliber gun and fired at the undercover agent, which triggered a brief shootout with the police.
